Went to start it today with it in gear (Thought it was in netural) and I didn't step on the clutch and that puppy moved! I thought this truck had a neutral safty switch???
it does. look on the rod that goes from the clutch pedal to the clutch master cylinder. there is a switch kinda surrounding that rod. make shure that the round little dimple on that switch is locked into the bracket next to the firewall. that holds the switch in place. i broke the little tab on mine and now it moves up and down on that rod. sometimes i can start mine without pressing the clutch and sometimes i cant just depends on where the swich ended up last time i drove it. noticed how mine is turned sideways and up close to the end. the truck will start without the clutch with it in this position.if everything looks ok there the switch might be bad.
p.s. for those of yall paying attention notice my cheap fix for that stupid little plastic bushing.
Thanks . And speaking of that little bushing. The shaft that goes from the clutch pedal to the right side where the little bushing is has some kind of bushing on it. I noticed mine has a lot of play. When I push down on the clutch I can see that shaft move back at least 1/8 of a inch on the right side!

mine does it too. my brake pedal actually moves when i push the clutch. i think there are 3 or 4 bushings along that shaft. i'll replace them when i gett arround to it.#10 in the pic
