just did my IPR o-rings recently and found that I didn't need to make a custom tool. I have a 1 1/8" combination box wrench that did the trick for me. A word to the wise. I disassembled the IPR all the way down to get it good and clean. There are 2 very small pins in there. 1 is a needle pin, the other is at the solenoid end of things-looks like a dowel pin. be very careful not to lose them.! I just worked on a clean surface (that took the most time-getting a clean surface) and put them in a ziplock cleaned and lubed everything real good and reassembled using my trusty box big ol' box wrench. still having issues- going into injector o-rings next
Thanks I think, what are reps? Anyway, I got into the right hand rocker cover this weekend and only did the o-rings on the easiest injector, the one in the front, took me all day to learn all the tricks and wipe up oil from forgetting to put the oil deflector on before running it-oops. I will be ordering a whole set of o-rings and doing them all. They were quite expensive from the dealer even though they give me wholesale prices they were $20. I can buy a whole set for $52 + shipping on e-bay!
I believe it is because it is a 12 point tool on a six point bolt. It requires many small turns and repositioning the wrench until the IPR can be turned with ones fingers
