i need some help..thinking about purchasing an 06!
hey guys, i currently own an 02 f-150, but really want a diesel.
anyway, i went down to the dealer today and found a blue 06 f-350 extended cab lariat with 47k on it...asking price is 32k.
my question is, is that a good price? i test drove it and loved it..it has 3.73's and it drove great. i was looking for an f-250, but the 350 didnt really ride that rough. another question is how much worse is the mileage with a 350 versing the 250, equipped the same? is there that much of a difference or not really?
i think the truck was siting there for a couple days, because its about 25 degrees, and when i cranked it it was slow at first, but started right up.
i really like the truck....so ANY help is appreciated....
thanks guys
Not sure if it is a good price (sounds okay), but you can always try talking them down a bit. On the mileage question, they should probably be the same. 250s and 350s aren't all that different I believe (rear blocks are different sizes).
Before buying make sure you get the vin # and run an oasis to see all the warranty work that has been done on the truck.
Sounds like alot of miles for an '06. I bought my '05(specs in signature) in '06, with 16k. I don't know if the extended cabs ride like the crew cabs(anyone?), if they do- drive it on a concrete freeway to see if you can live with the ride. I get around 16mpg.
Gonna be hard to beat that price for an 06'(at a dealership). 05's with roughly the same trim level and miles are still going for around 35-36k where I live in Wa.
Seems like a good price to me also except for the mileage being a little high. I bought mine new for $39.5k but not an FX-4. I have 25k miles since purchase in June, '06.
I have an 06 that I bought in late 05 I have 66k on it. I think it depends on what they used the truck for. It is a diesel and it will last a long time. The price sounds good.

47K its just now getting broke in. My 06 bought in Apr 06 has 47K on it. It's a F250 and it rides like a champ. Crew cabs great. Price sounds pretty good also.
