How much louder will my turbo get.

Hey guys.
I just bought a MBRP 4 inch Exhaust for my 01 Excursion and was woundering how much louder the turbo sound will be once I put it on. Also if its not loud enouf for me what other thing can I do to hear the turbo sound more,

several here have removed the alumn wrap around the intercooler pipes

It will increase it a lot. You can put an intake on it straight pipe it .

Thats exactly what iam doing. I already have a 6637 air filter and I got a muffler delete pipe to put on this 4 inch system. Will this be realy loud when Iam done

does that do anything really to insulate that pipe as far as air temp goes? or is it mosty for reducing the sound of the turbo?

how hard is it to get off.

I think the full exhaust system is a better option, but that's just me. Besides replacing the turbo, removing the hot-side I/C foil, 6637, exhaust, and WW is about as loud as it gets. That's where I am right now, and I think it's plenty loud. Mine sounds just like this: CLICKY

I havent done it myself, you might want to do a thread search, the end result is a much cleaner looking engine compartment, and yes the only reason for the wrap is for noise..

A friend of mine has a 6.0 and its is pretty loud, he took out the muffler, cat and resanator. It whistles pretty good at idle. That resanator delete though is pretty expesive if I remember correct. It did open it up like night and day thought...

I have intake, 4" turbo back exhaust, Muffler delete, and i took the foil off ic tube. Turbo is Loud, it is awsome.

i have heard the WW with the ATS houseing is very loud..more so when pulling a load...

The foil delete didnt make a huge difference in sound to me. Also i didnt notice and temp difference. Its a pain in the but though.
