Chassis change
Greetings members of this forum.
I am looking at building a truck using parts that I have, and need some info concerning the chassis.
I know about the I-beam change in 65, the behind the cab change in 73, and the front end change in 80. Was there any chassis changes in 87 with the new body design?
Do the 2wd and 4wd trucks share the same rail measurements. I presently run a 66 F100 and everything below the chassis is 76.
I own a 86 4wd with a badly bent chassis and body parts and a last year used 9" rear. It is supposed to have a 351W crate engine with about 49,000 miles on it. I have a friend with a 93 chassis that he has parted out, that I might pick up.
Just need to get some facts of what will or will not bolt up exchange both below and above the chassis. Will a 83 body bolt up on a 93 chassis? Will the 86 Dana front end bolt up to the 93 chassis?
