I just bought the upfitter switches for my truck (06' F-350) and was wondering if any one here has installed them? I bought the switches and the wiring harness. Is this install fairly straight forward or will I be better off letting my dealer do it?
It's not bad - only difficulty is getting the screws started for the relay panel. (Hope you're good at standing on your head). Put a set in my '08, took about an hour. The ground screws in the dash do come out hard tho.
I think you are allready talking me out of it. I am 6'4" and I am kind of a big fella. might not do for me to be standing on my head under the dash. The Ford dealer said they would do it and wire my "moose Lites" for about 2 hours labor.

Go to the top of the page - where is says FORUMS - pull down has list forums, new posts, etc ....click on search. When the search page comes up, enter "upfitter switches" in the key word blank. Then select "search titles only",(right under keyword), scroll down and click on "search". There are about 11 pages of threads concerning all aspects of upfitter switches.
I installed the switches in my '06. I found it to be real easy. About as easy as doing the zoodad mod. Save yourself the 2 hours labor (unless your local shop rate is cheap ) and do it yourself. If you lived closer to me I'd do it for a 6-pack!!
Had Seekins do it. They charged me $150 to do it. And they wired my Light Force lites. I think thats fair. Best part is I didn't have to stand on my head at all.
