Remote Starter

I have found a few online for like $50. Are they worth a darn? What do you think? Will a $50 starter do what I want? Or is it gona take a $500 one?

Thanks!

Works for me. The range and feedback you will get on a high-end remote start unit will not be there in a $50 unit but they do work.

If you can see the truck, you should be able to see the parking lights blink or some other visual confirmation that the truck has received the signal and you should also be able to see if the truck does not actually start by the lack of smoke/steam from the exhaust.

I got my $50 crimestopper mostly for the turbo timer feature but the remote start is nice when I go out of town in the winter, otherwise it's tucked into its own garage.

I also have a crimestopper and love it this time of year. Works great to warm it up a little before taking off. Can't let it run to long at todays fuel prices though.
