Banks Transcommand

Has anyone added a Transcommand to their E40D tranny. What do you think of it? My 94' E40D seams to take a while to shift, quite awhile between first and second. Will buying one of these help with that?

Have you done a reset on the FIPL/TPS at all..... any flashing OD light.

Some members have them and are quite happy with them, there are other brands too.

I have one on my 92. I don't really like the way it shifts for driving without a load. It seems like it wants to run up to at least 2500 RPMs and then it shifts hard, I mean real hard. I thought it was supposed to shift easy when it wasn't under a big load, but it doesn't. I can get it to shift earlier in the RPMs and a bit softer if I feather the throttle back a bit.
I should probably get under and make sure it's hooked up right.

That sounds like what my truck does now without a Transcommand on it. I also would love to have the trans shift at a much lower RPM between first and second. Is there any adjustment that can be made, or is it just a black box with not adjustment options?

As far as I know there are no adjustments that can be made on the transcommand.
