truck bed misery
I am planning on purchasing a 1979 F-150. The bed is rusted through in several spots. I need some tips on fixing the bed. Could I cut the bottom out of the bed and weld a new one in? Any tips would be helpful

New bed floor panels are available through LMC truck parts and I believe National Parts Depot may have them as well.
If you do not care about keeping it close to original weld in some diamondplate or plain steel.

i bought a truck once that had a huge chunk of diamond plate in it for a floor. did the job.
also if the sides flop a little, just weld a piece of angle iron on it near where the tailgate goes to hold them upright
