Leaf Spring ?

I have a SC FX4 (4x4)and was curious as to how to level the truck, so that the front and back appear level from the side. If you look at the truck from the side the back stands higher than the front. I am guessing that this is because the bed is empty and there isn't any weight on the back end. Has anybody heard of adjusting the front leaf springs, to raise the front to the height of the back? Is is difficult? How will it affect the ride? Any suggestions would be appreciated - I won't be hauling anything that is real heavy in the back.
Thanks

You can't level it with a leaf spring because you have the IFS set up. What you can do is raise the torsion bars in the front. It isn't hard and if you don't want to do it yourself, a 4x4 shop should do it pretty cheap (under $100). It will probably make the front a little stiffer depending on how much you raise them. You should be able to adjust them between 1-2 inches. Hope this helps.

Yeah, that helps a lot. I'll call around and get some quotes. Is it anything that can be done myself or does it require special tools/equipment?

You can do it yourself, but I don't know what tools you need of the top of my head. I'll find out and get back to you later today. If you call a 4x4 shop, they could probably tell you what you need as well.
