Hi all. I have a 66 f100 with no oil pressure gauge or alternator gauge. If I find an old set will they mount to the dash plate I have installed now or do I need the WHOLE dash plate assembly?? Also, I dont have armrests and would like to install a pair. Were/are they made for both doors? Thanks in advance.

Standard Cabs came without armrests, Custom Cabs came with one, the right side was optional. Rangers came with both armrests.
The armrests used on 1964/72 F Series trucks are the same as certain models of 1959/66 Ford's, Falcons, Comets, Fairlanes, and 1961/67 Econolines. These armrests have been reproduced.
Pete, The alt gauge doesn't have a lot of value as far as daily operation goes, unless you like to watch grass grow. The oil pressure and temp gauges on the other hand have some value. IMHO
I would suggest after market mechanical gauges if having them is important to you. A weekly check on fluid levels is about as good, because you ignore them after a while.
As far as arm rests go, the originals are all hard and cracked by now. There is a guy on Ebay selling them for the Falcon. Try a Ford arm rest search.
If you don't mind customizing your truck try something different.
One note of caution, if you do a seat upgrade you will have to have both doors open to tilt the seat back forward with them on both doors.

I've never seen these armrests sold in any other colors but black, red and palomino. However, if you get them from Dearborn Classics under the '60-'63 Falcon designation, you can also get most any color vinyl paint you want from that era to match your interior. I recently did this because of the difficulty matching my Caribbean Turquoise color. The Falcon color option for this was the very same as my truck ('64 F100).
As for the guages, Autometer makes a line called Old Tyme that fits in the dash holes perfectly...I installed a voltmeter and tach in mine, but you could opt for the oil pressure if you'd like...I already had an oil gauge installed below the dash before discovering the Autometer line.
As far as the gauges go,well I'd like to just have the original equipment style ones in place of these crappy ones that I got the truck with that arent even hooked up, even if the ammeter gauge is useless at least it will look like my other gauges. I would hook up the oil pressure gauge though because I think that is a good one to have. Would I have to get a different sending unit than the one currently hooked up to my idiot light, you know, the indicator light right next to the speedo? And while I'm here , I think I might like to go with a really nice cloth bench style front seat from a more recent year...anyone know what fits, what doesnt, whats involved as far as do I have to get the whole seat track, etc?? Is this as easy or harder than it sounds?
I left the "idiot light" as it was and added the oil gauge using a new sending unit screwed into the front driver's side of the block...then ran the oil line through the firewall to the gauge...pretty easy to do.
You can install and electric pressure gauge by using the same wire used for idiot light but need to change sending units. Purchased couple dashes on ebay, not interested in dash as much as the guages, picked couple up cheap. I would email seller and inquire about the condition of the guage. Usually would indicate they worked before they removed them. Anyhow, have extra guage or 2 and they work well. As members have indicated, there are some nice aftermarket guages. Took several months before I hooked up the AMP gauge, concerned about lots of amps going to dash. I installed the fuse on inner fender and ran the wire from there to the gauge. Prefer the Amp over idiot light, like to know in advance if there is a problem with my elect. sys. If concerned there is the volt meter.
