I just ordered my copy of the Ford Y block book off of amazon. Looks like they are printing it again. It cost me $16.00( that includes shipping costs). Just thought all the other Y blockers out there may want to know this. I had seen them earlier this year on ebay for well over $100.
Pondering Galaxies "should have", I find myself with a similar situation. One of my ceramics students gave me her husband's copy in that he was the previous owner of my truck and had no further need. Midland is a small place.
When Amazon reported that this book could be had for any number of hundred dollars, my greed gene kicked in. Then it kicked out. I'll cherish the thoughtful gift and pass it on to someone who needs it when I am through with it.
As our wise sage, Mr. Niolon, tells us... pay it forward.
I hope that no one thinks that I have inferred that Galaxie is greedy. Please forgive me if that's how it reads. I was attempting to say that I had the same impulse and gave it a name. Not being motivated by money has kept me poor... witness that I am a single income school teacher, but rich in the realm of the spirit.
Himmelberg: I have a book on ford 60 degree V6s that has been out of print for quite a few years. They go for about $75 on evilbay. I paid $18 (shipped). I no longer have the truck it is for, but I have the book. LOL
