Okay, my truck is almost in one piece again ... just need to install the rad, recovery tank, washer fluid pump, and the front grill. It's an 84 with 4.9L 6, 4spd manual, no AC, 2WD. After making an IMPACT on the deer population in July I found an 85 for parts. Notably the rad cradles are different, since the 85's went to the wider rads and plastic tanks.
My question is will any of the old rad hoses still work or do I have to get creative? I realize new hoses are a good idea and like 40 bucks for the set ... but my budget is barely covering the rad, so re-use and creativity are an asset. I think the lower hose will work, but have doubts about the upper. Would an upper rad hose from an 85 302 work for me here?
