Here is how I removed the rear window from my 98 to reseal it.
1)Remove interior trim from the back of cab.
2)Remove the nuts which hold it in.(I think there's eight of them, but it's been a couple of years)
3)Gently push it out from the interior of the cab. May be helpful to have an assistant to catch it. Note that there is nothing on the outside holding it in.
I replaced mine when I first got it. I could not come up with any good answers on what year and kind had bolt in and slip in. I tried to get the folks on another website to measure and compare windows so see if we could get a good answer on what would and would not swap....all it turned into was an argument. Really have kinda stayed away from there since then. My 99 ext cab is a bolt in, but my cousins 97 is a reg cab and a slip in. Were all 98-01s bolt in?
Does the whole frame and glass come out in 1 piece?I have a 99 f150 ex cab with a water leak at the top of the frame where the plastic moulding is. The leak isnt around the glass, that I can see, its around the top of the frame. Is this the same fix?

Reason: left out some info
this is the ranger area, dont know if they are different than the 150s, but on my bolt in window the frame and all bolts out and leaves a bare metal frame of the cab.
