Do I need a spindle nut socket for a D50
I'll be helping a friend change the balljoints on his 1990 F-250 with a D50 front axle. Does anyone know if we will need a spindle nut socket to remove the innards of the hubs. Neither one of us is a stranger to trucks, but the last front axle I took apart was 8-10 years ago and it was full time 4wd so there weren't any hubs, just a nut and some bearings.

You could cut your own out of a piece of pvc pipe it is strong enough for a one time
use maybe more!! Same goes for the 44 too. make the 4 little risers with a dremel
cut off wheel and 10 minutes later the nut is off. Save the $15.00 and send it to me!!
