I know asking a question on this ancient thread is probably not going to work, but does anyone know what to do if the issue is an open/short in the EVR power or ground wire? What is the repair process? I've had this issue and replaced all components, but still get the p1409 code. Rough idle. I'd like to just remove the EGR system completely, but don't know if it'll work since this is an electrical fault and not a mechanical...
