Ok I've been playing with my DP Tuner for the last couple of weeks and I am totally loving it. Wasted way too much fuel and have less rubber on the tires
My question is this... I currently live at 6200' and will be moving to sea level in a few weeks. How much crazier will this thing be at sea level? Any one have a comparison between high altitude use and sea level use? Thanks for any input.
I think Curtis is most qualified to answer this. Thanks to the Baro sensor in these trucks, you will be running even faster, I know, you will see. The air will be thicker which means more O2 which means... well you will see. Hopefully Curtis can weigh in.

Hey, that was rude of me. Is this the retirement move? If so congrats and where ya headed to?
Ya bud it sure is. Turned in the papers today. I just got to watch my back for 2 more weeks. It really feels funny that I'm actually retiring. I've been employed in one job or the other since I was 7 years old. Never was unemployed one day. I always went from one job to the other with no days off. Now I'm homeless (sold the house to the oldest boy) and now very soon, jobless. I've got all kind of things lined up to do on the truck after I get settled in the new home.
I'm moving to Mount Vernon, Washington. Beautiful, small, quiet area that I'm going to totally enjoy.
Sounds great Marty. I am not going to sell my house to my boy, want to kick him out, lol. He will get it all in the end anyway but he needs to make his own way first. Hope you enjoy it. Maybe visit Kwikk aka Dan sometime. Good luck buddy. Well deserved.
Thanks guys. It's going to be a new journey that I can't wait to start. I find it hard to believe that it is actually going to happen. I wanted go when I was young enough to enjoy it and before I got shot or had a heart attack.

I was still running the standard (non-high altitude) tunes last time I went to Houston. Turbo lag virtually disappeared compared to driving here. EGT's were much cooler and there was more get up and go. Peak boost also jumped up a few PSI.
Congrats on the retirement . I cant wait to retire
Nick
Nick, Please graduate school (both high and college) get a good jod, and pay into social security for minimum of 30 years so some of us old geezers will have some of your money (if social security lasts that long....)
Congrats Marty on a well desrved retirement, and thank you for your service to your community.
Is being a Fire Fighter a good job. My dad was that and now thats what I want to be
Nick
In SE Wisconsin it is nearly impossible to get hired. We have two guys on our department (Paid on Call) that have applied for over 100 positions each and neither have been hired yet in over two years. Both have fire science degrees and are EMT Basic certified. The one has applied all over FDNY, Chicago, etc still NOTHING!

You'll really like it up here. My current avatar picture was taken the day after Thanksgiving looking east over Hood Canal. The new camera is awesome, the only lighting is moonlight.
If you haven't purchased the house already, there's other places that I would rather live than Mt. Vernon. Nothing wrong with the town, but it's geological location is right under a convergence zone and it get's more rain than average around here and we get a lot. If you don't mind wet feet all the time, than it's no big deal. One good thing about it is that the rain clears out all the smog and on a clear day you can see for 100 miles.
If I had my pick of places to live up here I would choose Sequim. (Pronounced skwim )It's in a rain shadow about 35 miles east of Port Angeles. Lot's of retired people move there because of that and there is a thriving community geared toward that age group in Sequim. And it's located on a hill that overlooks Straight of Juan de Fuca, Vancouver Island, Canada.
