04 F-350. I have no power to the driving lights for a trailer. I checked everything I could think of. I checked the fuses, all good. I checked the connections at the plug connector, and all seem tight. The brake, and signals work just fine, so I dont think its a ground issue. All the lights for the truck itself work fine. How/where do I start looking for any problems. Any advice on how to tackle this ?? It has nothing to do with the trailer wiring, as the trailer works fine on two other trucks..
The first thing you need to do is find out if power is reaching your connector on the truck. Use this website to find your connector and determine which connector you have. http://www.campertrailers.org/traile...ng_diagram.htm
This will at least tell you if power is getting to the connector. If not, look in the truck for a bad switching relay or fuse.
If it's there, look at the connector and make sure all the prongs are intact on both female and male ends.
Good Luck.
Double check # 38 fuse if not that check where the wires go into the back side of the plug on the truck one of mine had got pulled out just a little when I pushed it in everything worked, You might also check where the trailer plug hooks into the main harness of the truck, otherwise get out the test light.

Re-check the fuses, the trailer plug wiring is fused seperatly from the truck, the reveses lights and tail lights are on the same fuse for the trailer plug. Use a test light and check for power at the center connector on the trailer receptacle which is for the reverse lights on the trailer. Truck off, key and parking brake on, put truck in reverse, check center connector on plug for power, none, bad fuse, power = bad wiring, check tail light wires for breaks or bad connection at back of connector.
Yes check the fuses again. I know on my truck (2000) the fuse to the trailer running lights is under the hood. Some year models don't have the fuse panel under the hood but the circuit would still be seperate.
