Post VET testing conserns as well as others,....

Hey guys, I have heard you'all talking about cats and how you are removing them or gutting them. I am interested in removing my cat, but here is the thing, I am just bearly passing the VET right now. I am kinda worried about not passing the VET if I remove them. Can any of you tell me if I can still pass if I gut them (because if I remove them I will fail for sure, I at least need to look like I have cats.) And also give me some advise how I can improve on the test. I will be going to the vet soon and I am kinda worried about it. Thanks. 86 F150 300-I6 Short wheelbase 2WD 3speed w/OD 3.08 axle Love my truck!

I assume your talking about (V)ehicle (E)mission (T)est. Your probably right about failing for sure if you remove the CATs. A suggestion to help your borderline VET results is to change the oil frequently before the test. Fresh oil will have less nasties to boil off and a greater abilitly to absorb some of them. Good Luck

Make sure your engine is fully warmed up. Don't shut the engine off if you have to wait. Herman
