Coolant in Valve Covers
#1 Would cracked injector sleeves/cups lead to the burning of coolant?
#2 Would cracked injector sleeves/cups lead to coolant in the valve covers?
#3 What else might be the cause of burning coolant?
#4 Would the truck run differently with a cracked head, or broken head gasket?
Background information: The first day I noticed the white smoke it was only when I was at idle, and I didn't notice it while driving. Also on the same day I hooked up to a 18k pound trailer and drove through some moderately hilly terrain, round trip no more than 100 miles. Upon return from that trip I checked my coolant level and was quite low. I added 2 gallons of coolant and it didn't quite fill it. Ever since that day I have driven the truck a grand total of 35 miles to and from work, and have added another 3/4 of a gallon of coolant. I notice large clouds of white smoke at stop lights, but couldn't notice it while driving. I have no loss of power, no rough idle, start ups are regular.
Thanks and PLEASE HELP!!!
