95 ranger runs rough
I replaced the belt and the enginr will not run right. This is what I have done since:
1. Re checker the belt timing marks. Everything OK
2. Installed new plugs 7 wires. OK
3. Checked the injectores OMS. There at 14oms. Between 12 - 16oms the book says.
4. Checked the fuel pressure. Ok at 40lbs.
5. Checked the compression. Everything is goog there.
6. Replaced the fuel pressure Regulator.
7. Replace some vacuum hoses.
8. Replace the gasket on the intake top half.
9. I went to check the coil oms. The book says should be 5oms. I don't get a reading on my meter. It's 0.
Don't know what to do at this point. Any ideas? anyone?
Was the engine running ok before the timing belt went belly up????
What ohms scale were you on when you tried to measure the coils primary resistance???? You need the coil disconnected & have your ohmeter on the X1 scale, when measuring the primary resistance.
If in doubt about the coil, you could pull it & run it by your favorite autoparts store, for a no cost bench check.
If you have a inductive type timing light, I'd check the timing & spark on all the plugs with it.
Then check for fuel injector pulse with your multimeter, or a noid light.
Just some thoughts for pondering.

I've taken the front of that engine apart 4 times to see if I forgot
something. All the timing marks are right on.
I just don't under stand it.
Well to run, that puppy has to have three things, in the proper sequence, air, fuel & fire!!!!
So seeing as how your pretty sure the timing belt & marks are properly done, but have some suspicions about the coil, check it out, to make sure you have spark.
A timing light will quickly confirm this.
If so, you'll need a pulse to operate the fuel injectors, a noid light is handy to check for the injectors ground pulse.
