Does any of you guys have a Cleveland in your truck?
I will be installing a 1973 4V 351C under the hood of my 88 F-250 pretty soon. I'm trying to get a preview of how it's going to perform once the swap is done.
Any comments would be appreciated!
Thanks
PS:My truck is a 1988 Single Cab 2WD F-250 running 37's and has 6" suspension lift.
Ive built 2v and 4v 351c motors, I honestly would go with the 2v set-up. Low end power and tourque is what you will need. If your mud bogging then the high rpm 4v will do great if properly built. Is the truck giong to be built for something particular ?
I've already got the 4V it's a 1973 351C which has the valves the same size as the 2V.
This is my daily driver, I often race the quarter mile too.
What do you think?
You might run the weiand excellerator intake that is intended for the 2v heads. this will keep the intake speed up through the runners even at low rpm. this is whai i would do...... but keep askin' im only a semi-pro.
Thanks for the input... I'm overseas, Ecuador.
How is this 2v intake going to fit my 4V?
Not many people has this engine here to be honest with you. I waited more than two years to run into one.
Any other comments would be appreciated.
Cheers.
The ports on a fact. 2v intake will not cover the 4v ports in the head, they are that much bigger. There are aftermarket intakes that will work on either head.I use a Holley Street Dominator which isn't made now,you can find them used here and there.I think Edelbrock makes a 351C intake that will work on both heads.I have a 351C 2V in my 79 f-150 and like it just fine.
