00 Explorer Idle Problem
Just bought a 00 Explorer with SOHC 4.0. Just within the past couple of days on cold start up in the morning the truck would sputter when idling down (it totally died one morning) then rev itself back up and be fine. I changed the IAC yesterday and this morning still had the same sputter when idling down. Any suggestions? The truck is all stock with only has 35xxx miles on it.

Have you gotten a CEL? If so go to you nearest Autozone and have them pull the codes and then maybe we could be of some help. When was your last tuneup?
