Mountaineer stalls code 1507 IAC?

Mountaineer stalls code 1507 IAC?
I've got a 2002 Mountaineer and a couple weeks ago it would start and stall right out. If you gave it some gas it would stay running. It was random, but seems to be getting worse. Now it set a code, 1507 idle air control iac under speed error. Do you think changing the iac will cure this critter? Thanks for any advice you can give.

Yup. Sounds like a bad IAC. They arent expensive, and it is a DIY job.

That's what I figured from my research, along with your thoughts I'll get one today and change it. Thanks for the input, this is an awsome forum for ford help. Thanks again.

You can also try cleaning the old one.
