Mixed results from what I have heard. It is all about preparation & how much use the box of your truck endures. Unfortunately, even with thorough preparation, a moderately used box will reveal the weaknesses of Herculiner.
Do some searching here & over in the 6.0L forum, and you will find hundreds of threads regarding bedliners of just about any flavor. The favorites would probably be Rhino & Line-X...with an edge going to Line-X. They are pricey, but this is yet another case of getting what you pay for.
I have never used it in a truck, but I did use it on my 6X10 trailer after I built it, I don't like it at all, it fades, and flakes off, I am going to remove the floor of the trailer and take it to linex and have them do the trailer right.
I have it on my truck for more then 7 years.I use my truck every day for work, carrying old siding, windows and doors. It will fade, but I am not worried about that. Not bad for$100.
don't use it........I still haven't spent the time to remove it yet. I worked hard doing all the prep, and it still came out like total crap! First time I hi-pressure washed the bed it peeled off the first layer. There is a pic in my gallery that shows it sorta in the bed. Save your money and wait for Line-X
save your money for the Line-x like the others say
the off brands and generic stuff like herculiner do not work well
i saw an OBS powerstroke a week ago at Farm and Fleet with a generic bed liner product on his rockers and fenders and it looked terrible. I could see more paint than i could bedliner becuase so much had chipped off. not to mention it had faded to a gray-ish color too.
I used Herculiner on the tub of my Land Cruiser. I wish I didn't. In my opinion it has way too rough and chunky of a texture and looks pretty bad compared to the real spray in stuff. It has held up okay, but the LC is a whole different ballgame compared to a truck bed.
While we're on the subject, I'd like to mention Duplicolor spray in bedliner. That stuff is nothing more than re-labled undercoat.
