I've read the previous posts but I need to make sure. Do all 7.3's from 99-03 have engine block heaters. Its that time of the year again and the Excursion is starting slowly. I read that some people thought that worse case, the heating element is always installed the only difference might be that Ford does not provide the cable if you didn't order it.
Is this the case or not?

 

If it is like the trucks... Fish around in drivers side tow hook with a small flashlight looking for the plug.

Also, look for a cable, probably orange, where the oil filter mounts to the block. Folow it out to the plug.
