Driving idle problem
Hello everybody,
first I want to apologise for mypoor technical english, but I am forom France
.
Since yesterday, I've a problem on the driving idle : The tachometer is at 1800 rpm instead of 850/900.
The accelerator cable is working well.
If somebody could help me, iwould be very pleased.
My aerostar is 3L automatic box, 1991.

Look for vacc. leak, check all vac. lines, but stuck IAC may cause the same problem.

BTW, Qautchat, how do ypu do there in France... Watching TV this morning I saw you have new problems with Afrofrenches.... What your president will do now? Move all away from France?

Qautchat! Is your problem solved?
My friend told me, he had similar problem with stuck C/C. Check for correct idle troutle position, you may smile, but I have 0-6V voltmeter in cabine and 8 position switch and I can check TP sensor position, ECT, IAC and other sensors on run.... :-))
