Question tack problems

i bought an 05 ford f-350 powerstroke 4x4. exery once in a while the tack will show 1000rpm difference from the motor if i stop the truck turn it off and then turn it back on some times it corects its self some time it has to be left longer and it will be better. also when i bought the truck their were cut wires under the dash and some the hood thet the ford dealer fixed. what could cause the tack to drop like this?

There was a bad bunch of dash clusters that had problems like that. Take it in to your dealer to get it replaced.

BTW what color were the cut wires? There are a bunch of blunt cut wires that are supposed to be there for hooking up different kinds of accessories. 4 of them are used to run accessories out of the cab without having to drill your own hole.
