Motor Swap

1986 Ford f150 Yeah ive decide to swap in a Carbed 85 351 windsor for my 86 302 efi what all is needed to do this swap i have the aod transmission and it is four wheel drive

You need to change the fuel system around, since you have electric pumps that develop about 38 psi. The carb only needs about 4psi. You need a throttle cable for the carb, a throttle cable and linkage for the AOD(very important). Your 351w needs to have a rear sump. You need the flexplate from the 351w. You need a new y-pipe for the 351w. Make sure to get all the alt/steeringpump, etc. brackets for the 351w, most of the 302 brackets that go from the waterpump to the head will not fit. You need to decide what type of ignition you will run and you will have to modify the wiring you have to suit.
