This is a great question. I have few pieces that need to be re-chromed as well.

Hey Karl,
I guess you and I are the only ones interested in chrome shops.
Anyway thanks for your interest.
I too, thought it was a good question.
Happy Holidays

I would ask around Sac Vintage Ford shop - they might be willing to steer you to a good shop.

Remember, if you do find a good shop, add them to the recommended shops sticky.

Modesto Plating? Used to be a good outfit, but I haven't taken anything to get done in 25+ years.

Chrome is so cool

Gary, I used the chrome shop in downtown Sac, but I don't know if I would recommend them. They are pricey and have a $150 minimum. AAA is out by McClellan but they are even more pricey! Maybe the Reno guys have a good source. Jag

John - Thanks for the info. WillyB said to check with Sac Vin Ford. Think I`ll
check with other hot rod part suppliers and see what going on with local
chrome shops. John, have a great Holiday Season.

Has anybody tried the chrome kits that are sold by various suppliers? If the parts are small, I have heard that the results are surprisingly good. All you have to do is hook up wire A to terminal B. And then pour solution #1 into a non ferrous container....... Nevermind, I just confused myself. Merry Christmas Gary, let us know who you go with. John
