01 escape rough start
Hi everyone,
My wife's escape with 120k on it starts ok, then idles rough. Backing out of the drive is ok, then on the first 'pull away' hesitates and wants to die. Once you go over 25 mph everything is fine the whole rest of the day. I searched the site, and so far have changed the air filter, fuel filter, cleaned the maf and replaced the IAC. It had a tuneup last winter with new plugs. Any thoughts? Should I try cleaning the MAF again? I really soaked/sprayed it well with the sensor safe stuff designed for it and it looked very clean. I made sure it had dried before putting it back in. That along with the air filter and fuel filter took about 1/2 the intensity of the problem away. The new IAC valve did nothing, but I can't return it now that it's installed. Any other thoughts on what it might be? Once it gets going it's good for the whole day.
