I was looking at the new ATV line up for 2008 for each manufacturer. Arctic Cat caught my attention by releasing a 700 cc 4x4 DIESEL automatic in their lineup! I personally think that is awesome....man I want one. Maybe I might get one for Christmas...lol
Just too bad it is a Yardie-Cat brand.... all they are good for is sitting on the yard...
I can see you do not know what you are talkin about!!! I would like to see you try to ride where I ride on your little POO POO, or Honda! AC's have the most ground clearance, and wheel travel of any atv out there. Back on topic I have been thinking about trading my 06' 400 in for the new Diesel. It is about as fast as my 400, but has alot more bottom end. It is pretty cool it has a mechanical injection pump that can be turned up if you want. Then it will lay a nice cloud of soot and have even more power. It is nice because it is a two-up as well. maybe in the spring when they have the model year end sale. There are companies out there that make turbo's for motorcycle's and I bet you could put one on.
No offense, my personal take on this...
That is one ugly stuff, to begin with it is automatic and with that small a block trying to burn Diesel it would probably shake/vibrate itself to pile a crap in no time...I guess this is pushing the idea of "bad for bone" a little too far.....
The engine is made by the Italian company Lombardini. They make diesel generators and small industrial equipment. http://www.powertechengines.com/Lombardini.html IT probably doesn't shake as much as a Harley.
Well I seen the Yardie Cats at Bass Pro shops about 6 months ago and they had a diesel but they wanted 9500 for it, but the last two times I have been there it wasn't there. I can see a Jody tunes & 5in exhaust on a ATV now
I seen a atv/seadoo that was awesome. You could drive from land into the water, the tires would fold up and off you went.I forgot what site I seen it on.
