Headers?

Hey there,

Well I got some good advice on ignition and catalytic converters. Let's try hearders now. I'm not looking for a huge upgrade, but something that will replace the stock headers. Any recommendations and an average price? How hard would you consider it to replace them?

Thanks!

I went with the 87-96 Ford factory exhaust cast iron header. They are two 3 to one. Fits real well and no exhast leak problems. Cost me 60 bucks at the local salvage yard.
As for dual plane verses single. If it is a dual plane then the right half of a 2 or four barrel carb feeds in this case 3 cylinders, and the left half feed the other clyinders. A single plane means that both sides of the carb feed all cylinders.

Spatch,
Offy makes another type of intake called a "Dual Port". You can spot this intake by the fact that the carb mounts sideways. There is an additional divider splitting each runner into two sets of runners. One set is fed by the carb primaries. The other set is fed by the carb secondaries.
Offy also makes a regular single plane intake called the "Competition "C". The carb mounts inline on that intake.
Adios,
Brett
