69 f100 engine question

Which one do you really think best way to get right engine and able to enjoy to build and to get badass powerful. I just want to be happy what I really want to make that successful. Im kinda excited to learn. But hate to decide which ONE SHOULD I get it. Give me some advise so I able to pick one and make decision!

Tell me how I could find what size of engine on 69 truck. Its still on junkyard, I am trying to buy it. ITs good body. Only need new window, seats, front full fender. THe man want for 500 do u think its worth. Also I cannot get vin number on dash because wearout the number and letters.

The 4th digit in the VIN is the engine code: G = 302 / H = 390 / Y = 360
There no VIN plate on the dash.
The Warranty Plate is on the left door face near the latch. This plate will have the: VIN and the wheelbase listed, and codes for the: PAINT, BODY, TRANS, AXLE, DSO. It will also list the HP @ RPM.
