Carbon???
I have black stinky carbon on the inside of the heat riser tube that feeds the air cleaner. It makes the air cleaner black and plugs it only after a few days. It also blackens the throtte of the carb. What do I do?

Carbon???
I had the same problem with my 86 300. Replace the egr valve . Mine was staying open and the truck started bleching black smoke after awhile. My card throtle plate looked like someone had spray painted it black along with my air cleaner.
