Hi guys not posted for a while , busy getting on with truck rebuild , does anyone know of the weight of 55 f1, rough idea, mine has volaire clip 351w c4 & 9" , well will have when done !! even better front & rear weights, cheers guys when i have time & work out how to post pics will do.
I weighed my 56 on a truck scale at work. 3500# total, 2200# on front, 1300# on rear wheels. Mine has an MII IFS and a 351C, so we should be pretty close.
BTW, you have an F100. The F1's were between '48 and '52.
Cheers Jack, should help me with what t/converter to get , lot of power going to go through it, u have any traction problems,i'm fitting 4 bar set up, will fit biggest w/tyre combo poss, just starting to fit r/end now.
Thanks for info Jack, let u know how i go on with 4 bar kit , ie what wheel / tyre combo fits, plenty big enough tyre 275/ 50 /15, hoping to go to 17 inchers, so will have a look what is equal to them, any pics of your truck , especially rear end , love rear ends !u drag raced truck ? your oversized rear fenders , are they glass ? do u have traction probs ? or is there lead in the bumper !
