For some reason today my 95 bronco was something else. I took off down my road and with the petal to the floor just my rpms climbed and not my speed. Its never done that. Its sat in my garage for a week because i just rebuilt my cooling system and now i finally got that straigtened up. Maby its a thankyou lol i swear these trucks have a heart and soul. The truck and i also did a good deed today. On my way to my friends house i took backroads and on my way there was a chebby truck in the ditch. It was dark out and i could see a guy walk my way stumbling around. So i thought he was drunk. Well on my way home i drove by there to see if he got pulled out and there was a saturn car there. Well a guy waved me down and he asked me if i have a tow strap and 4x4 because this 91 year old man drove into the ditch. It was a pretty deep ditch to and he said that his brother was coming with his 2wd S10 and he said he didnt think that s10 would do it. So i said yes only if the older guy wasnt going to drive it and he put the truck in neutral. The elder guy could barley hear and he was rough. So the good ol bronco pulled her out. I was in 4 low and i had to give it some gas. He asked for my address so he can send me money? Im like thats ok dude just keep it on the road lol. So that was my eventfull day today. And also my cousin came over with his 2wd GMC Sanoma and did a break torque in the mud. Im NOT even joking. We thought it was just steam but nope. Burnt rubber. I couldnt believe it. But i was going to sell my bronco in the spring...... Well now im not even coming close to thinking about it. BRONCOS ARE THE BEST!
I am proud of you man! Pulling a chevy out of a ditch! the way it is to be! (insert grin here!) I would say your tranny was slipping... Do you have an external tranny cooler on it, or are you using the cooler in the radiator? If you are using the radiator tranny cooler, maybe you didnt get one of the lines tight enough, and it is loosing pressure... just a thought! Keep up the good work! You have a sweet looking set of trucks there!
No the ERRRRRRRRRRRRR ment that it was my tires. Yes its the factory cooler and its both, i have lines running to the radiator and to the trans cooler then back to the tranny. If i didnt have the line tight wouldnt it leak tranny fluid? Thanks for the complement.
Hey Next time say you did it in 2x4 . Which the bronco would have probably done. Sounds better.
LOL i thought about keeping it in 2wd to see what she could do, but id rather not rag on it like that or throw rocks at the old guys truck, even tho it was a chevy.
