351w swap

I recently come across a 351w from a 94 f250 im looking to put the engine ine my 78 f100 2wd. My 78 has an original 302 I need to know if the stock rad will work with the 351 or will I need something bigger. Is the rad from the 94 truck easily adaptable to my 78 possibly?

Your stock radiator should work as long as the water pump inlet (bottom big hose) is on the same side. I think it is the drivers side on the '78. I am not sure about the '94. I know they offer pumps with the hose on either side. I assume to make room for serpentine belts or something.

No idea on the '94 rad in the '79. Any thing is possible - Monster Garage

Are you going to move the '94 wiring harness with the EFI & computer.

That would be cool. Hit the key and run in zero degree weather.

Yes the 351 has the inlet on the drivers side so it should work then. Im going to keep the serpentine set up just alt and ps. The 94 also has a oil cooler that the filter screws on to that connects to the lower rad hose. Is this worth keeping and using?

No im not using the EFI but I will keep it for later. My plan was to carb it put performer rpm heads and intake on it good set of headers, Im not to sure on the cam yet . Should be good for the street and daily driving im only looking for around 350hp-400Hp
