Sounds good to me. How do you train the strapped to the rim sensor. I sell magnets for the valve stem sensors and was wondering if they need magnets also.

Yes, it is the same sort of deal with the magnet. Just hold the TPMS reset tool (fob) against the sidewall of the tire opposite the valve stem for the retrain process.

I asked my dealer about changing the low air warning in my 08 250 because I run a higher tire pressure than the Ford recommends. I wanted it to go off when it went down to Fords tire pressure and they said “no way”.

FYI the battery in the factory fob that comes with the TPMS cannot be replaced and the whole unit will be replaced by the dealer. At least that what my dealer told me.

The TPMS reset tool (fob) does not have a battery that I know of, it should be just a magnet. The sensors in the tires have a non-replaceable battery, but the expected lift is approximately 10 years.
