im so confused..... so if we dont have the "optional" TC should we have a shut-off smewhere for the engine torque TC?

You will have the switch (push button) only if you have the TC...No switch for the engine torque.
The switch is right beside the 4X4 electric switch....

Jam, I have no argument that Ford indicated that all would have it in their early press releases, etc.

My point is that I do not believe there are two different types available as posted by someone else: 1) one, being standard that is engine torque management; and 2) a second being optional that operates as conventional traction control by using the ABS to modulate brakes to the slipping wheel.

I hope you are successful getting Ford to add it to your truck.

According to Ford they are two seperate systems. I know I did not have the switch. I argued the point and they bit the bullet and installed the other type in my truck. I tested it and it works great...I did loose 1 mpg with it though.....
