Need a little decoding help...

Hey guys, I just encountered a 1971 F250 I'm looking at and would like some help with the vin #. I tried the decoder on this site but it said vin wasn't valid. Thanks for any help you can give me. Here's the VIN: <TABLE cellSpacing=1 align=left border=0><TBODY><TR><TD vAlign=top noWrap align=left></TD><TD vAlign=top align=left width="49%">F26YRL45106

Without a lot of running around, looks like a 3/4ton 4X4 with a 352 built in Cali.

Sound about right???

Oops, you are right with the 360, it replaced the 352 but retained the same Y designation.

And the 360 does have a 352 crank and rotating assembly.
