plug boots

so the 5.4 plug boots dont clamp onto the plugs? i tuned my truck up and put die-electric grease in each boot. driving home my truck started missing a little. wiggled all cop's and its running fine again. my milage is worse than with the old plugs.

truck has 80k.

Yeah you need to make sure you have them seated on plug. You should be ok now. Which plugs did you install?

autolight double plat. i was going to do all new boots until i found out how much they were. then i said f that. i had to replace one injector oring since it busted when i pulled the fuel rail off. i didnt have enough tools to do it without removing the rail

Those are good plugs and are what I have in my 5.4. I didn't have to move the fuel rail when I did mine. The right tool at the right time is priceless and cuts down on profanity. LOL
