300 w/ rough hesitation
My straight six bogs down when you lightly get on the gas. I took it to the dealer and they said the HEGO sensor needed to be replaced and that the throttle body gasket was getting sucked into the intake.
I replaced the gasket and the truck ran better for a few days. Then the hesitation came back. In never replaced the HEGO sensor. Is that my problem? I think the gasket is also getting sucked in again. Should I have used a gasket sealer? If it is my sensor where is it at on the engine.
I'm not going to stress this too much, because it's either an accept or don't issue, but there are just too many I-6 owners on this board who have really benefitted, and lost the take-off hesitation, by putting a restrictor plate between the EGR valve and the air plenum.
I did mine two weeks ago and if you brought your truck in front of me, you'd have to fight me to keep me from throwing a restrictor plate in yours.

Now it may not fix the rough idle - then again it might, but the hesitation you describe is all too common (before the 'fix') in these 4.9's.
