different wheel
That's exactly what I've got into with my '03 SD 6.0 PSD F350 Single Rear Wheels CC 4x4. Bought this truck a few months ago with less than 100k on it. The dealer just had got it in the day I looked at it. It had a set of aftermarket 16.5" rims with extremely worn tires. Didn't want the 16.5" rims, hard finding tires around here for that size. Dealer says he'll buy a set of 17" pull-offs for it. I said great. The pull-offs had a set of 265/70/17 BF Goods on them. They would have looked okay except for the fact the truck also has a 6" lift. Looked like a set of bicycle tires on it! I noticed that they rubbed the springs a little. No big deal. I swapped over my set of 315 Mud Dawgs. Looks great. Rubs like crazy!
The plan: Buy Christmas for the four kids, wear out the Mud Dawgs sometime around spring, and break the news to the wife I have to have new rims, with tires. In the meantime, demostrate to the wife how bad the rub until she succombs...
***Question: Is there any way to know what the backspacing on the originals were on my '03 SD 6.0 PSD F350 CC 4x4? (Since I'm now in the market for rims)
