Now I'm Curious.....
First I was worried that my '96 F250 would be over-revving on the highway. Having read thru back postings (and installed a tach this morning),I can see that I was way uninformed.My tach told me: 55mph=2400rpm;60mph=2400rpm;65mph=2900rpm. I see posts of stock I6's cruising at rpm's above that.
If I give the VIN, can someone tell me just what kind of creature I have here?

Is this an'HD' engine? Dunno where I am going with this, but a few performance mods might make it a pretty bad 3/4ton I6 combo.

Andy; Look on the DRIVERS SIDE DOOR POST. You'll see a sticker that will have info on your truck. You will be specifically looking for 2 items.....

Tell us the codes and we can tell you what you have behind the 6. More than likely NOT a HD.
