Power Pullies 5.0L to 4.9L help!!
If those pullies are only for the water pump and alternator, you're all set, but, if they include a crank pulley, don't bother. The 300 uses the damper for a pulley.

Kamelon, your truck does have a damper, it just might not look like it, if it didn't have a damper, all that would be sticking out of the timing cover would be the crank snout... The outer ring of the 300's damper is the belt pulley, and, that's probably one of the reasons they are bad to slip....

Power Pullies 5.0L to 4.9L help!!
Just a sidenote here...
On a low RPM engine (like oh, say, Ford 4.9's...) the most you'll probably be doing is making it look good if the pulleys are aluminum.
Plus, spend 7 minutes reading :
http://yarchive.net/car/accessory_horsepower.html
it makes OK sense to me, and he even mentions Ford there, too.
But one way or another, please post the end result of your labor and results here. Should be helpful to other I-6'ers.

and u are not correct either, sir. underdrive alt pulley will slow the speed @ idle down so it will not produce enough amps to power ****. underdrive pulleys on a low revving engine DO NOT help

Just out of curiousity... Do you have to have the matching set of waterpump, alternator and crank pulleys, or can you get away with just putting on the underdrive waterpump and alternator pulley?
If that's all it takes, i'd consider buying a cheap set off of eBay or something just to play around with.
Is there a particular year of 5.0 that I have to get it from or will any foxbody Mustang set do? Is there a diff between Mustang 5.0 and F150 5.0 pulleys?
Thanks, and sorry for responding to such an odd old post lol...
