no power initial start up
I have an 03' f250 7.3 powerstroke. When I first start it up and for the first several minutes of driving I sometimes have no power. I put my foot to the floor and the truck is just dead. It's as if the turbo is not working or something. I can also say that the exhaust is twice as loud during this period of time. The exhaust sounds like an abnormal amount of air is going trough it.

That's most likely your Exhaust Back Pressure Valve, EBPV, closing due to the colder weather. The engine will be a little sluggish until warmed up, but that valve is supposed to open if you give it throttle, so it could be sticking closed?

my 99 F-350 just started doing the same thing about a month ago when it started getting cooler at night here in San Diego. Now i just let it warm up for about 5-10 minutes or so first thing in the morning. Hopefully this is just because of the cooler weather and not a mechanical issue.
