Cab Mounts

I need to repair the frame where the cab mounts go because of rust made the holes bigger than they should be but I don't know what the hole size should be. 75 standard cab 2 wheel drive. Thanks, Tom

I don't know the hole size, but you might be able to torch, grind or drill out the rivets on one at a bone yard. Often times the frames are okay in this area even when the cab mounts are rotted. The rivets if ground flush can be punched out and replaced with bolts. Drilling a small hole in the middle seems to make them easier to punch out.

If you have already bought new bushings, use them to fit your repair pieces. If you havent bought new bushings, Energy Suspension sells a nice set. Those plus some silicone grease will outlast the truck.

I got a large washer and enlarged the hole on the lathe and then welded it onto the mount. I don't remember the size of the hole though.

I just did the same on mine.I think the holes were 1 3/4.I welded big thick washers on the perches, and replaced all the factory bushings with poly ones, then took awhile measuring, and confirm all is straight before tightening down

Yeah, now that I think about it the holes were 1 3/4". If only one side is rusted out you can measure that one to see were weld the washer on the other.
