Winter Tires

After getting my new truck last week the snow has already hit. For you guys in the snow areas what tires are you putting on you F250.

Tire size 275-70-R18

It is a E rated tire. According to a few dealers, tires will not be available until June 2008.

This seems rather silly.

Thanks for any info

I got 4 Telstar Trailcutters 235/80/17 basically a 9.50"x 32" they seem to be pretty good snow tires. I went about a kilometer up a FSR with 6" snow on it today looking for firewood. Hope it doesn't snow too much more as I spotted some good looking dry Beetle damaged trees. The tires cost me $1,220 balanced, installed, with tax. I got them at Tirecraft in Houston BC. The same company in Prince George wanted $1440 and PG is over twice as far away from me. Now I've got two sets of tires for the 6.4.

There are lots of posts for the 18" tires. Lots of people like the Toyo M/T and A/T, both available in 275/70/18. There are lots of others too. Some like the BFG all terrain TA in 305/65/18.

Cooper Tires also has a large selection of tires in 18 inch E rated and they are priced very reasonable. Also are a 60000 mile tire

I'm sticking with the BFG T/A AT's one more winter. They still work OK and I am a cheap SOB.

Goodyear Wrangler Slient Armor 275/70R18E, Mountain Snowflake certified for severe snow conditions. As others have posted, there are many tires available in this size.
