so be happy .. my self hate ricers.. and once hang in there with a v6 camry but he left me when my truck reached its speed limiter..
becuase they are Way lighter than my truck.. but im proud of my truck once they open they ricers fart can mufflers mouth i tellthem you want another race? ok my rules...
grab a strep and tie my end to your end of the car letsee who pulls harder
comp cam 260 or other mild cam, port exhaust ports, and a edelbrock preformer aluminum intake seems to turn our puller 460s into import eaters. soon as i can get the cash together im doin it right after headers. what headers are you running how much did it cost you headers and get a new y-pipe welded
Well i got the doug thorely long tube headers...And ther were around 750 shipped to my door and the y pipe was around $120 at the exhaust shop and my system was around 350...
every one just agree he got beat if he was racing and the guy beat him by a car length then he got beat doesn't matter what it was. if he had been on a mule he still got beat, guess next time he better be careful what he pulls up beside of lol. might be a turbo charged pinto lol, but i dont think i would have told it ide kept stuff like that to my self....
ok, ever hear of power to weight ratio, obviously he would win. Just cause you have a bigger engine doenst mean you can win. Tryed to tell this to my cousin with a 2003 Mustang GT, he came to the relization when he got smoked by a SRT4
well for one thing it is a 5 speed standard with 4.10 gears and 33"s. i run regular 87 octane fuel. but i did put some of that nos stuff you buy at walmart in the tank that day!! wait did i say 40,000lbs? i meant 140,000lbs!! yah thats it 140,000lbs. oo i almost forgot it has a k&n intake on it. ooo and it wasn't a v10 viper....... it was atop fuel dragster. and i was going 300mph not 200!!! lol ooopps.... gtg tinker on m truck. got a muffler bearing gone and i need to get blinker fluid!!! later guys!!
200 mph in an F series truck with a 460 hauling 40,000 lbs???????
Now, the daily driver trucks tires would not survive anything dreaming of those speeds and the 460 is in risky teritory shooting above 5000, but the HP needed to push an F series shaped "BRICK" by it self into the 200 mph range would be in the thousands of hp, not to mention pulling a trailer that had 40,000 lbs that had to be specialy designed to survive those speeds????
Why do you say that?
What if he was going downhill? What if the wind was helping him? What if the wind was helping him AND he was going downhill? The weight would work to his advantage if going downhill and the not so aerodynamic trait of the truck and trailer (or whatever it was) would work to his advantage if the wind were helping him.
If the conditions were right there would be no limit to how fast he could travel with even 75000 pounds behind him with the 460 shut off and the trans in neutral....meaning zero horsepower from the motor. Just get to the right kind of hill on a windy day.
nope i disagree his weight had nothing to do with it he got beat in a race he wanted to run just to show his buddies he had a 460. now when it comes right down to it yes i agree there is a lot of difference but he wanted to race. and he knows all about he is heavier but he still wanted to do this so just agree he got his @*** kicked in a lop sided race.
